Place of Birth. Education. Born in the village of Galitsa, Nezhinsky district, Chernihiv region. In 1977 he graduated from the Kiev Institute of National Economy with a degree in economics and logistics planning. Twice (in 2005-2006 and 2008-2010) he headed JSC SJSC Highways of Ukraine.

On March 17, 2010 Mykola Azarov’s Cabinet of Ministers appointed him head of the State Highway Service of Ukraine (Ukravtodor). Fired just two months after appointment.

Since 2000, Voshchevsky headed the Ukrainian Peasant Democratic Party. In the parliamentary elections of 2002, the party took part in the Winter Generation Team of Khoroshkovsky, in 2006 – as part of the People’s Bloc of Lytvyn, in 2007 – as part of the Selyansky Bloc Agrarian Ukraine (leader – Ivan Tomich). In 2008, the party was headed by Dmitry Andrievsky.

In the elections to the Rada in 2014, Valery Voshchevsky entered the parliament on the list of the Radical Party of Oleg Lyashko. On September 1, 2015, Voshchevsky announced his resignation from the post of Deputy Prime Minister in connection with the withdrawal of the Radical Party from the parliamentary coalition. On September 17, the Verkhovna Rada voted for his dismissal.
