Place of Birth. Education. Was born on September 22, 1959 in Odessa. In 1981 he graduated from the Faculty of Atomic Energy of the Odessa Polytechnic Institute. In 1992 he received a diploma from GITIS in the specialty “stage direction and mass performances”.
Career. During his work as an engineer, Boris Barsky attended a pantomime studio. Gradually, this hobby took on a professional connotation, he began to tour a lot. Barsky always remembers joint trips to cities with the director and clown Vyacheslav Polunin with great warmth and gratitude, considering the famous clown one of his teachers.
From 1984 to the present day he has been working as one of the leading actors of the Odessa comic troupe “Masks”, headed by Georgy Deliev.
He starred in all 80 episodes of “Masks Show”, in the films “Seven Days with a Russian Beauty”, “The Personal Life of Official People” and others. Plays leading roles in theatrical productions “Romeo and Juliet”, “Othello”, “Night Symphony” , “Especially married taxi driver”, etc.
Boris Barsky took part in such projects as “Star Duet”, “Games of the Patriots”, “Dancing with the Stars” and other television programs.
In 2008 as a support for the Ukrainian Olympians, he was present in Beijing.
Books. Boris Barsky is the author of five plays and four collections of poems. Among the collections of poetry – “Lyricisms”, “Balm for the Brain”, “Lyric Poems about Love for Various Women”, as well as a book for children and about children “Pretend”. The first book of prose “Black Seals” (2011). Lyrical music album “Lion’s cough”.
Regalia. People’s Artist of Ukraine (2009), member of the Union of Cinematographers of Ukraine.
Family. With his wife Natalia (1958), together with 1980, met in the studio pantomimewhere she was his personal dresser. Worked as a chemist at the Odessa Research Institute… Children: daughter Anastasia (born 1983), son Konstantin (born 1984 – died 2010).
