Maxim Isanovich Bakhmatov (creative pseudonym – Icebreaker Bakhmatov) – Ukrainian entrepreneur, withGuardian of the Mayor of Kiev Vitaly Klitschko. Ex-managing partner of the UNIT.City innovation park, ex-General Director of the National Expocentre of Ukraine.

Place of Birth. Education. Born on October 20, 1978 in the city of Ust-Kamchatsk, Kamchatka Territory, RSFSR.
In 2000 he received a diploma from Kiev International University with a degree in International Economics; in 2003 – an MBA diploma from IMI.
Career. The first entry in the work book is a supervisor at the BTL agency Light Promotion.
Since 1998, he worked for the MTS mobile communications company, rose from a call-center operator to a leading expert in the dealer’s cellular network.
In 2002-2003. – Director of Business Development at Leo Burnett Agency.
2003 – 2005 – Samsung sales manager in the Baltics.
In 2005, Bakhmatov created the IT company UkrGerman Enterprise (UGE) together with his former classmate Eduard Singer. In the summer of 2014, the leading Ukrainian software company – SoftServe… The joint project was estimated at more than $ 2 million.
Creative career. KVN. Since his student years, he has been fond of the creative direction of the clubs of the smart and resourceful. In 1996-2005. – Director and captain of the KVN team “DIPKORPUS”, the Kiev-Kirovograd national team, the Kiev national team “Alaska”, who received various honorable creative awards and titles at that time: Champion of Kiev 1998, Champion of the Open Slobozhansk League-2001, 2003. Champion of the Highest Ukrainian League of 2005.
Comedy Club in Ukraine. Since February 2006, Bakhmatov takes up the development of the project Comedy Club in Ukraine, in which he becomes co-owner, general producer and lead resident… Develops his own creative concept marketing and promotion, opens eight regional offices of the company, which numbered more than 100 people. The first 22 episodes were aired from September 9, 2006 to February 10, 2007 on the TV channel Inter… In the second season, there were 14 episodes that were broadcast on the TV channel 1 + 1 from March 30 to July 8, 2007. In the same year, the project received the honorary creative award “Golden Pen” as the best television entertainment show in Ukraine. In 2007, between Maxim Bakhmatov and his business colleagues, contradictions arise in creative and organizational matters, Bakhmatov leaves the Comedy Club UA company to pursue his own creative television projects.
Ledokol Bakhmatov Group. In 2008 he creates the Ledokol Bakhmatov Group company. In the same year – 2008 – “Icebreaker Bakhmatov”, together with designer and 3D artist Alexey Martynenko, creates the company NII VFX (3D animation and post-production studio), which becomes a part of Ledokol Bakhmatov Group. Also in June 2009 he invites an investor MossaMmada Zahoor and creates a joint company Ledokol Istil. In the considered creative tandem, well-known television projects were created.
In September 2008 on the TV channel ICTV the first Ukrainian pseudo-documentary begins to air weekly sketch show “Awesome Ukrainians (UA)”, in which Maxim Bakhmatov was the author of the idea and the main producer. The materials were presented to the viewer as documentary, although they were all fictional. After a while, the show began to appear on the TV channel. TET.
In October 2009 on the TV channel K-1 the ironic-political “Untitled Show” is released with the famous singer-composer Kuzma Scriabin… An old garage was chosen as the main television location, where the main characters discussed various news and problems of everyday life in Ukraine.
In autumn 2009 on the TV channel M-1 the first in Ukraine daily ironic and humorous culinary TV show “Bulki” with the host Valerie Bordeaux… For 5 minutes, the viewer was offered recipes for various dishes in a humorous light presentation. A total of 250 episodes of the TV show went on the air.
April 1, 2010 at TV channel “Ukraine” the premiere of the show “Friday. Evening”. A famous musician became the co-host of Maxim Bakhmatov Valery Kharchishin. The guests of the first edition were Savik Shuster, Ivan Dorn and Vlad Yama.
June 18, 2015 Maxim Bakhmatov was appointed Acting General Director of the National Expocentre of Ukraine of the State Administration of Affairs. In April 2016, he was appointed CEO of NEU.
On March 21, 2017, he resigned as head of the Expocentre.
From April 2017 to September 2019 – Managing Partner of the UNIT.City Innovation Center-City in Kiev.
In September 2018, he became a member of the Supervisory Board of the Multiplex cinema chain.
September 23, 2019 Mayor of Kiev Vitaliy Klichko appointed Maxim Bakhmatov as his advisor.
In June 2024, Maxim Bakhmatov resigned from the post of adviser to the mayor of Kiev, Vitaly Klitschko.
Family. He is married and has three children.
Interests. Professional swimming… Took part in the European Swimming Championships in September 2013 in Eindhoven.
