Akimova Irina Net Worth

Place of Birth. Education. She was born in Kharkov. In 1982 she graduated from the Faculty of Economics of Kharkov State University. PhD in Economics. Fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, Volkswagen Stifung, DAAD, ACCEL.

Career. At various times she worked as director of the Institute for Economic Research and Political Consulting (Kiev), senior researcher at the Center for Economic Research at the University of Warsaw, researcher at the Economic Department of Magdeburg University, director of the analytical center Blakitna stricka LLC.

At the time of the 2007 parliamentary elections – General Director of the Analytical Center of the Bureau of Economic and Social Technologies (Kiev).

November 2007 to March 2010 – People’s Deputy of Ukraine of the VI convocation from the Party of Regions (passed to parliament under the N63 electoral list). Deputy Head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Policy. She served as Minister of Economy in the shadow, opposition, government of Viktor Yanukovych.

In February 2010, after the victory of the PR leader in the presidential elections, she took the post of first deputy head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine – the presidential representative in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (head of the Administration – Serhiy Lyovochkin).

In October 2012, she was elected to the Verkhovna Rada of the VII convocation from the Party of Regions (No. 6 in the list), but refused the deputy mandate.

On January 24, 2014, by decrees of President Yanukovych, Akimova was dismissed from the post of first deputy head of the Presidential Administration, appointed adviser to the president and approved as the president’s representative in the Cabinet of Ministers. At the post of the first deputy head of the Presidential Administration, she was replaced by Andrey Portnov (head of the Administration – Andrey Klyuev).

Member of the Party of Regions since October 2007. In April 2014, in an interview, Irina Akimova announced that she was no longer a member of the Party of Regions and wrote a letter of resignation.

Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economics, Kharkiv National Technical University.

In February 2014 she was dismissed by decree of acting President Oleksandr Turchynov from the post of adviser to the President of Ukraine and relieved of the duties of the representative of the President of Ukraine in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

Irina Akimova heads the Association for Women’s Studies in Art and is the director of the NoSEP (New Social and Economic Policy) association. He is engaged in painting.

Family. The politician is not married.

Hobby. Akimova reads a lot, she has a large library at home.
